Our client, a well-established and highly regarded privately-owned developer, is seeking a motivated Assistant Site Manager to join their team. With a reputation for delivering high-quality residential projects across Hertfordshire, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in construction management.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day management of construction sites.
Assist with the coordination of trades and sub-contractors, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to the highest standard.
Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Help maintain high standards of quality control and reporting, ensuring the development meets client and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation and management of site documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
Help ensure compliance with planning conditions, building regulations, and other relevant legislation.
Assist in managing site resources, materials, and equipment to maintain effective workflow.
Identify and resolve any issues or delays on-site to ensure the project remains on track.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a site-based role, ideally as a Trainee or Assistant Site Manager, or a relevant qualification in construction (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Construction Management).
Understanding of site management processes, including health and safety regulations and building codes.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and site personnel.
Ability to work as part of a team and also take initiative when required.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering quality construction projects.
CSCS card (essential); SMSTS and First Aid (preferable).
